Impact Sam Staples
As CTO and Founder of disl, I combine deep technical expertise with 11 years of frontline behavioral health experience to build AI voice agents that actually understand the people they're helping. I've worked every role from BHT to admissions coordinator, VOBs, utilization review, and alumni services—so I know firsthand what gets lost when technology doesn't understand care.
What drives me: Creating AI that sounds human because it's built by someone who's done the job. I've conducted thousands of prompt iterations using insights from hundreds of thousands of calls to build the most realistic, comprehensive voice agents in behavioral health. Every iteration is driven by one question: would this conversation help someone I care about?
What I bring to disl:
- 8 years as a Salesforce developer, architect, and administrator specializing in healthcare automation
- 5 years of Apex development plus extensive full-stack experience with Next.js and modern web applications
- 2+ years dedicated to AI development and voice agent customization
- Deep understanding of both the clinical side and the technical infrastructure that supports it
- Relentless focus on iteration—building, testing, and refining until it's right
My philosophy: Care should always be available and accessible. Every person seeking help deserves to have their needs met with proper expectations and follow-up from the very first contact. disl exists at the intersection of clinical understanding, technical innovation, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring no call for help goes unanswered.
Tech-obsessed, clinically grounded, and building the future of how treatment centers connect with people in crisis.
